Today the high school group I have the pleasure of working with after school on Thursdays took a trip to see a Christmas lights display (I thought we were going to a Christmas market - oops). We traveled about two hours by bus. Here are some of my favorite shots (not edited):
I realize that I haven't been posting recently, and I do apologize. A lot has happened over the past month: I drove in Japan for the first time, visited IKEA, and I found a townhouse & moved in. Phew. I've been in my house for the past two weeks, but there hasn't been any Internet until recently. Hence the no posts. As soon as everything is in its place I'll post pictures of my new abode. I took that picture this evening while I was out with a few friends. We were out shopping all of the second-hand stores. The stores are very different from the ones in the U.S. These ones are cramped, but have an excellent selection of goods. Here are a few videos of a place they like to call, "Narnia." I'll let you see why. This past weekend I had the pleasure to travel to Gran Deco Resort. The folks I traveled with are all a part of a Christian youth organization. All I have to say is wow. Definitely recommend Gran Deco if you want to get away for the weekend - summer or winter. Gran Deco is definitely known for its skiing and snowboarding, but there's also a lot to do during the rest of the year: hiking, camping, canoeing, kayaking... it has it all. Here are some pictures that I took with my phone of our phenomenal multiple course meals. Friday's Dinner: Saturday's Lunch: Saturday's Dinner: When people leave the resort, the staff waves goodbye. However, they don't just wave when you just leave, they run after you and wave again! |
