It's been a fun past week... I traveled on the train by myself & didn't get lost, I got shanghaied from work to go to a park, and I bought a car. Fun times.
First, the car. I bought it last Wednesday from a colleague. It's a silver 2001 Honda Fit. It was a tad dirty, so it had to go get detailed before I posted pictures. It seats 5 (the back seat is down for me to transport my unaccompanied baggage coming tomorrow).

This past Sunday I decided to come in to school for a few hours in order to get some work done. A colleague of mine texted me to see what I was doing, and when she found out that I was at school working, she and another colleague promptly drove over to the school and started pounding on my door. They wouldn't let up until I let them in, and when I did, they said that I had to come with them. Sundays are not for work, they said. So I grabbed some papers to grade and went with them to Showa Park. We went to a tearoom at the park, and walked around. Afterwards, another colleague made us ribs and an awesome salad.
This past Saturday I traveled down to Tokyo to participate in Scott Kelby's World Wide Photowalk. I think there were about 1,000 photowalks around the world. The one that I participated in started at Tokyo Station and went for a few blocks. I met a few awesome people - Ken & Lori - and I'm looking forward to maintaining contact with them! I wasn't able to take any post-worthy pictures, but it was a fun experience.
